The Srishti Collective 2013
Designing an exhibition space is a complex and a meticulous process. Apart from the spatial arrangement, one needs to pay attention to the minutest details of everything and anything, be it the installations, or the exhibits themselves or even the lighting, which eventually becomes a part of the exhibition. I with my other team members designed the entire exhibition for the SRISHTI COLLECTIVE 2013.I got a chance to prove myself and work with full determination on the exhibition layouts and planning. Patience and hard work finally gave wonderful results, when my team's ( I with my other two colleagues) idea got approved by our college Founder-Director, (Dr.) Mrs. Geetha Narayanan.

The Concept of the Exhibition layout was to open up the space for a viewer, where he/she could get a sense of everything that is being offered, keeping in mind the guidelines of Bauhaus, which say, "Form follows Functionality". The installations, exhibits, lighting and space layout together complemented each other while narrating a beautiful story of the graduating batch.
THEME: Time determines the way outcomes are shaped, decisions are taken and solutions altered. Many of our present actions are influenced from the incident of past or a vision for the future. An Hourglass illustrates the ideas transcending the passage of time, which further expands into categories: Retain, Rewind & Reform. They emphasize the common thread that runs through the show, connecting the content and revealing the context to presen the bigger picture |
